Synopsys
The BREATHE project aims to join together the
mechanical benefit of mortars with cement, the thermal benefit of biobased construction materials, and the technology benefit of the Selective Cement Activation (SCA) 3D printing technique.
The construction industry needs to find innovative technics to decrease its environmental footprint. This context inspired our team to work on 3D printing of construction materials as a way to reduce the growing needs of raw material.
Developping a novative way of printing construction materials allows the use of biobased materials. This additive manufacturing technique could be promising for fully automated manufacturing of bulding component where customization and complexity come at no extra cost. It could brings new insights for the housing construction market.
